While the roast was about TikTok Vs YouTube, it took jibes at the queer community under the garb of critiquing TikTokers by using terms such as meetha, and chhakka. This didn’t go well with the queer community.
The video was widely reported by the community with many people calling out the queerphobic slurs used by Carryminati. On 14 March 2020 the video was taken down by YouTube as it went against its policy of bullying and harassment. After which, a Twitter storm erupted, demanding justice for Carryminati and banning TikTok, clearly missing the point.
In the third day, after posting the video, it was removed from YouTube by YouTube. This made Carry Minati'S followers angry. This became an great issue in India. Carry Minati's followers and subscribers just went to play store and rated tiktok to 1 star, lakhs of people rated 1 star which made TikTok's rating to 1.6 within a day.
Soon the rating went to 1.2 the next day
Later Google deleted some ratings stating that those were accounts which are neededly created to down the rating of tiktok.
From this we can understand the power of FOLLOWERS AND SUBSCRIBERS
If we are one we can achieve anything…..
Stay Home, Stay Safe and Stay Tuned
